KUBOTA
Kubota, a global leader in water infrastructure, has been innovating since 1893 when it began producing iron pipes for safe drinking water delivery in Japan. Today, Kubota manufactures both standard ductile iron pipes and the advanced Hazard Resilient Ductile Iron Pipe (HRDIP) — known for its unmatched durability and disaster resistance.
KUBOTA STORIES
Originally developed in 1974 as the world’s first Earthquake Resistant Ductile Iron Pipe (ERDIP), Kubota’s HRDIP is designed to withstand earthquakes, ground subsidence, liquefaction, and other natural hazards. With over 66,000 km installed and zero recorded failures, HRDIP is widely adopted in Japan and globally — including in the United States, Canada, Singapore, and Nepal.
In addition to HRDIP, Kubota’s standard ductile iron pipes are also manufactured to the highest quality standards, offering reliable performance for a wide range of distribution and transmission applications.
